Can "View All Records" navigate to a certain view?

We have a dashboard that we set up with a certain view (View "ABC"), and we want that view to appear when the user selects "View All Records."

It appears that the very first view in the list (View "PQR") is displayed by default, even if you have something else "pinned."

Main Question: Is there any way to force the application to display a specific view upon clicking "View All Records?"

Update: It appears that the Web Client navigates to the original view, but the mobile client does not.  This appears to be an oversight that needs attention?

I have the same question (0)

I tried making a .gif of the process to prove my point, but it won't let me upload.

Suffice to say, here's what I'm doing:

    1) On my main dashboard, I have a visual which is a view called "Opportunities Closing Next Week"

    2) I expand the context menu of that view, and select "View All Records"

    3) Upon navigating to the view, it defaults to another view: "Open Opportunities," not the "Opportunities Closing Next Week" that I had on my Dashboard.

I tested it out in both Web and Unified clients, and it only appears to be a problem in the Unified client, which leads me to believe it's probably just an oversight that will eventually get fixed.

Is there anywhere I can submit this to get it looked at?

    Hi partner,

I tested it in my environment and did not encounter this problem.

I would recommend you raise a support ticket.

    Hi,

I tried doing same steps in my online instance & for me it works the way you want, find below the screen shot for your reference

    Dashboard_5F00_1.PNG

After clicking on View Record it took me to the list with same view selected

where as my Opportunity has All Opportunity as Default View selected

I would suggest you check the version of your organization & see whether any updates available to you

    My org version is

    2019 release wave 2 enabled

    Server version: 9.1.0000.10951

    Hi kmattish,

The only way I was able to successfully recreate your error was when selecting an "associated view" from the dashboard tile. When, for example, I chose "Opportunity Associated View" then selected "View Records" it reverted to the default view defined by the dashboard tile which was "My Open Opportunities". This makes sense since that view would not be available from the standard views when opening an entity.

Any chance your view is not correctly setup as a "public view"?

I also noticed the name you shared, and the name I can see in your picture is different, specifically the word "in" is in the middle. Is there any chance the view is not the one you mean to reference, is that view in an active state but since it's in the dashboard it's still picking it up for some reason?

These are all just ideas that come to mind. Hopefully one hits and gives you that "ah ha!" moment.

    Hi All,

Thank you for testing on your side.

Given your feedback, it's clear that I must be doing something wrong.

All of my views are public, system views, as these are system dashboards, so thank you for helping me double check that point as well.

I will come back if/when I figure out what I was doing wrong.
