Microsoft Dynamics GP drop down menu disappears.

We have a user that noticed their Microsoft Dynamics GP drop down menu () disappears after a couple of seconds when logging into GP. We can't figure out why. We also noticed she cannot add any other menu items except the Main one when right clicking the bar.

Things I've tried to correct the issue:

- Toggled Navigation Pane
- Changed Display Resolution
- Logged into GP from different computer
- Check security settings against other users and did not find anything
- Tried pulling unlocking and pulling menu bar down, but it won't move

It's as if the menu bar is corrupted, but it's only happening to the one user.

    Hello,

I have seen this move places before but never completely disappear. Just to verify, this is not on the far right?

Is this happening only to one user? If so, I would suspect an issue with the user records. If only one user experiencing this, can you create a new user and see if it occurs with a new user?

If it still occurs with a new user, how are they connecting to GP? Is this through RDP, Citrix, Terminal Server, Web Client? Does it happen if the user goes to a different machine?

We could try to synchronize the dictionaries and see if that helps. I don't think it will but worth a shot.

    1. Recreate and synchronize the modified forms and reports.
      1. Please use the following article to recreate your Reports.dic:
        1. KB 850465 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/850465
      2. If you have any modified forms\windows, you will want to recreate your Forms.dic as well.
        1. KB 951767 http://support.microsoft.com/help/951767
      3. To synchronize after recreating, use the steps below:
        1. Start Great Plains Utilities. To do this, follow the appropriate step:
        2. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Dynamics, point to GP (or appropriate version), and then click Utilities.
        3. In the Additional Tasks window, click Synchronize forms and reports dictionaries, and then click Process.
        4. Locate the Dynamics.set file on the client computer, and then click Next. (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP 2018)
If the above does not help, you will need to capture a Script log and see what is happening when this disappears and compare it to a working user to find out where the problem is coming from.

    I hope this helps!
