Report printouts cannot be taken

From today we cannot take report prinouts. We can view only the report but cannot send to the printer for printing.

    I think we might need more details along with Screenshot.
     
    Still as per limited understanding you can try below:-
    If you can view reports but cannot print them, the issue is likely related to printer configuration or print management settings in Business Central rather than the reports themselves.

    Possible Causes

    1. Printer Selection Disabled
      • Business Central uses Universal Print or network printers. If no printer is set up, the Print option will be unavailable.
    2. Recent Update or Permission Change
      • Updates can reset printer mappings or require re-authorization.
    3. Browser or Pop-up Blocking
      • If you are using Send to → Print, the browser may block the print dialog.

    Steps to Fix

    1. Check Printer Setup
    2. Verify Printer Selections
      • Go to Search → Printer Selections.
      • Assign the correct printer for the report or user.
    3. Check Permissions
      • Ensure the user has permission to execute print actions (e.g., Report Selection and Printer Management tables).
    4. Test with “Download as PDF”
      • If PDF download works but print does not, the issue is printer configuration, not the report.

    There have been a lot of reports from other users with this error so it seems like a bug, what version is your Business Central?

    Hi,
     
    This is a known intermittent issue in Business Central where report printing fails while previews still work. It usually relates to the Business Central online service, temporary print queue issues, or browser/permissions conflicts.
    Workarounds:
    > Try clearing your browser cache or switching to another browser.
    > Close and reopen the session, then attempt printing again.
    > Export the report to PDF and print from PDF as a temporary solution.
    > If the issue persists for all users, raise a support ticket with Microsoft, as it may be a service side problem.
    > Ensure that printer settings and permissions are correctly configured in BC and in the browser.

    It’s a known intermittent issue affecting some tenants recently. Try clearing cache, switching browsers, and using the standard layout. If multiple users are impacted, it’s likely Microsoft-side, and raising a support ticket is recommended
