Good day,
I am looking at recommending the use of Bins in a particular scenario. We have tools that may have issues where parts may be needed from the supplier. During the wait period for the replacement parts my suggestion is to transfer the items to a defined bin.
My question is, why is a Check links and Reconcile necessary or relevant to this setup?

Hi Rosemary-
Checklinks and reconcile is necessary for existing quantities in inventory. Specifically, GP has to add the bin information to the item-site combinations and the bin information to any unposted sales transactions.
