Why does NAV let you produce items made from components that are not completely invoiced but will not let you disassemble them?

What NAV version and localization you use? Are you use Assembly Order or...?
NAV 2009 R2 NA. When attempting to post a disassembly in a Production Journal, the following error is received: "...cannot post because you have not entered quantity on one or more lines..." All lines have quantities...
Can you please explain the procedure for disassembly which you are following. is there any customization done for this?

In the Production Journal, negative output is being posted. This is how my customer posts disassembly of their finished goods. There is no custom in this field.

Please debug the action and get the trigger point of generation of an error. it needs some knowledge of debugging the system.

The customer used a work around given time constraints and other circumstances they were facing. This issue can be tabled (closed) until/if it is reported again.
