Hi,

I'm using AX2012 CU6 where a user is getting an error when they submit an expense report.

When I submit the exact same expense report I don't get the error.

My account has admin rights whereas the user has system user role and a few others.

The expense category in question is Training which has a cost setup to 7410.

I'm wondering if this is permissions related and where I would need to look to resolve this issue?

    Hi ShayA,

Have you entered the transaction with the same date as your colleague? Please check whether your account structures are Setup with a valid from... to value that might be the underlying reason for this Problem.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

Yes I have tried a range of dates it works for me but not for the user.

And my chart of account structure is setup as shown below.

    Hi ShayA,

What I mean is if you are in the edit mode of your account structure and do a right-click on the item then you can Setup a active from and to field that might be the reason for your issue. Have you checked that?

    Hi Ludwig,

Yes I have and it is set to always. Not sure why I can post the expense report but when I assign the users worker profile to my user I can't post it.

Ok I just checked another user who has the same permissions as the user in concern and it works fine. So I dont think it is user role related but something more the lines of setup of the worker profile or something?

    Hello ShayA,

What I could think of are expense policies that might prevent your user from posting the transaction. If you post those expenses also to a project probably the user does not have access to this project?!

    Hi Ludwig,

I checked the expense policies and none is setup for the company.

Would you know how I would assign the project to the user? I may already know as I did check in the assign worker form and currently it is blank.

So even the user with the same permissions was able to post the expense report and hes not even in the list since its blank.

    Hi ShayA,

If it is the worker your user is assigned to, can you test in a demo environment whether assigning your user a different / new user fixes the problem? If so, I would simply go that way.

    Hi Ludwig,

I have managed to drill down a little more, please look at the image below.

Would you know where this PRC CostCenter value would be coming from for the users profile?

The top section is the users worker profile and the bottom is mine. As you can see my CostCenter is empty and I believe this is why it has allowed me to post.

    Hi,

The Cost Center was indeed specified on the worker profile level. This was identified via

Human Resources > Workers > [ Search the name ] > Edit > Employment (located on the left) > Financial Dimensions (fast tab) > Cost Center > Value = PRC <---Which is where it was defined.
