Post Cost to GL entry posting Date issue

Hi,

My client using Microsoft Dynamics Nav 2009 SP1. They have closed the Inventory period for the month of August and September 2015 then only they found  cost post to GL entry not posted before inventory period closed.

We have verified in the test environment to post the entry for month of October 2015 but system will the post the entry for the month of September 2015. 

Please help me how to restrict the entry posting for the closed period. Also please explain the steps to post the entry for the month of Oct 2015 (latest open inventory period.

    Please search in the forum, because there was a similar question answered in very recently.

    However you can restrict the posting date using general ledger setup (posting range) or using the user setup.

    For the particular user who is running the batch job, open the posting period for the October month and then run the batch job. System will post the adj. entries to the 1st of October.
