Hi All ,

Is there any MS manual is available how to import the master data ( customer / vendor / item ) in AX 2012 using Data Import/ Export frame work in AX 2012 .

As you all know the master tables architecture had been changed in AX 2012 , so when it comes to import the customer or vendor or item master data , what is the sequence of importing the data using Data import/Export framework in AX 2012 ?

What i am looking is Item tables architecture has been changed , ( almost 7 tables need to consider ) , what is the sequence of importing data , which table is first , second , third.... using data import /export frame work in Ax 2012 ?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Lally,

There is no standard document for this. You need to consider which fields should be filled when using the system. Then you can look if these fields are available within the staging tables. If not, these should be added in a DMF entity or you have to create a new entity, depending on which field and which table.

You can try the standard order of fields first. If you see some strange behavior, like field is not updated or has a wrong value, you can try to solve or create a post on the community.

The staging table contains the data of all the tables which are used on the released product form. You need to fill the staging table. Then copy to target will deal with the business logic.
