Trial Balance is incorrect.

Dear Expert,

For the Trial Balance function, Normally if I select dimension : Main account set

It will show only one record per account number but I now I found 1 account number is

abnormal. It has two records appear on screen below. Please guide me how to find

the root cause and how to solve this problem.

Hi PrasitP,

Can you try the following things to find the root cause:

1. Did you run the Financial Dimension Set > Rebuild balance & Update balances both and try again.

2. Try with different financial dimension set (Main account + Department or Cost Center), Is it displaying the account twice?

2. Can you check any other reports/Inquiry from GL like voucher transaction, is it showing transaction level information seperately for these 02 accounts?

Dear Ludwig,

Yes, I got a good Idea and guide line from community. Of course they helped me a lot in

figuring out the root cause of the problem. And I would like to share for our case in my site

that it happen from API of Free text invoices. It has something wrong because it difference company entity.

And we found DimensionStorage :: getDefaultAccountForMainAccountNum ("XXXXXXX"); can solve this problem.
