Nothing to handle: Warehouse Create Pick Error

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello Friends and Experts.

I am trying to create pick for Location "ADVPICPUTB" (Put, Pick and Bin) in a Shipment from warehouse.

Following error happened.

The BIN content list is showing inventory for the selected BIN, Item and Location

(see the below image)

Am I missing any steps or setup?

Kindly enlighten.

We have transfer order and it can ship, pick, and pack but cannot receive the location.
What does it mean when warehouse handling is required for Transer Order?

    Steps:

Location is enabled with Require Receive, Require Shipment, BIN mandatory, Require Pick, Require Put-away

Three Bins are created: one to receive, one to keep items, one to ship items.

    Receipt

Release Purchase Order and Create “Warehouse Receipt”

Warehouse Receipt is opened, Enter 'Bin No' and “Post Receipt” is clicked

A message is displayed that put-away activity is created

    Open Put away Card.

Select the Bin for placing the items.

Click on the Register put away

Require Putaway is complete with Receipt

    Shipment

Release Sales order and Create “Warehouse Receipt”

Select the Bin for shipping the items.

    Click on “Create Pick”

Go to Picks and Register Pick

Require Pick is complete with Shipment

    Post Warehouse Receipt.

Please correct me if I am wrong

    Thanks MMV,

I figured out what was the error.

The Bin selected for shipment was same as that of "Place" Bin during the Warehouse Receipts.

That was the reason for the error.

    Yeah..

I am familiarizing the Bin Mandatory functionality with Put and Pick.

I will show my detailed steps in my while..

Yes, I think that itself is the reason for the error.

    Hi Jiju,

Is the Bin Mandatory for the respective location?

    Best Regards,

    MMV

MMV, When I selected the other BIN, it worked...

    Why?

    Hi Jiju,

Or do you still have some picks related to Shipments, which are still unregistered?

    Best Regards,

    MMV
