UK Invoice Journal Posting warning text -Specify text in current language

Dear Experts,

We are seeing an issue in UK legal entity ( we have created new).

The error is coming when we are posting Vendor Invoice Journal and keeping the description as blank.

See the below print screen

LE language is En-GB.

We noticed this issue not there in other country.

What might be the issue?

Hi Ramit,

There is a check for creating vendor invoices in the following country regions - "GB", "RU", "SA" and "TH". While creating the vendor invoice lines, it checks if the journal line description is blank. This is a part of the standard code and hence I think you can't leave this field blank.

Hi Ramit,

It does stop you. It is throwing a warning when the Description is left blank. Right?

It doesn't stop me and allows me to post without filling up the description.

Interestingly, I just noticed, if I add some description, that auto join invoice number, vendor name and description.

Is it a code in UK?

Yes. This code is valid for UK, Russia, South Africa and Thailand.

Yes. It is not an error and is a warning only. So, it shouldn't stop you from posting the journal.

is it possible for you to check how the description getting joined ?

Example

I put description as "Ramit Test"

When I save the entry, it comes as vendor name+Invoice number+Ramit Test

Can this be checked at all?

Is there any customization in place for this? I don't think you can setup journal descriptions in that way. You can probably check with your developer once to confirm the same.

Sorry, I was not clear I think,

What I am saying, it is coming like that, and this is a brand new legal entity I created today.

I think this is part of localization and description is filled up by that way only.

Hi Ramit, If it is a brand new legal entity, I am almost sure it is not a setup. Is the environment being used without any customizations? In that case, we can check if this is a feature.
