How can I set the each page total in Visual Studio 2010

ReportReport
Posted on by

I am doing the report in AX2012 and Visual Studio 2010. There is a header and footer. The content (body) has ten (10) records. Therefore, the header and the footer will show in each page and the body only show a record in each page as well.

In addition, I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A TOTAL IN EACH PAGE FOR EACH ITEM, I DON'T WANT TO HAVE A TOTAL FOR ALL ITEMS AT THE END OF ALL PAGES. So what can I do in the visual studio 2010 to set the page total. Please give me some advise.

    Hi satoyuichi,

    You can have a group expression for number of record on a page. Lets say you can show 10 maximum records on a page, and add a totals row for that group based on this row count limit. That can show totals on each page.

    In the "General" page of "Group Expression".

    I input "=CountRows() < 4" in the group expression.

    The "Deploy Solution" in the visual studio and the "Deploy Element" were successful, but it cannot generated the report in AX2012. Error "Error while setting server report parameters. Error message: The item '/DynamicsAX/THK_WMSShipmentInvoice.HaitiFactoryInvoice' cannot be found. (rsItemNotFound)" occurred.

    If I delete this group expression. The report can RUN ALL records in a page which is not my needs.

    So what should I write in the group expression. Please give me some advise, thank you.

    Hello satoyuichi,

    My appologies if my first reply gave you the impression that we can use aggregate functions in our grouping expressions. We Can Not!!

    You would have to find a work around for it. Lucky for you I have it for you, please change your group expression to "Floor((RowNumber(nothing)-1)/4)"

    Cheers!

    Hi Zain,

    Thanks for you answer. I use "CEILING(RowNumber(Nothing)/4)" in a new group and get the result. Thank you very much, Zain.

    Regards,
