How to shorten the gap between different lines in report?

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi guys,

In NAV 2009 my report lines stick on top/below each other, but in NAV 2016 there's a gap. Any way to close them up? There are no top/bottom paddings for these rows. Reducing the height any further isn't helping and makes the text look cut off.

Thank you!

    Another thing that you can do is, go to the properties of the textbox and tick the checkboxs under General tab 'Allow height to decrease' and 'Allow height to increase'

    Also, instead of keeping contents in different textboxes, I suggest that you should shift your content to a table as sometimes textboxes create an issue.

    Actually, I have done customizations in NAV 2016 and did not find this issue that you have mentioned.

    Thank you for your response. However, all the text boxes for those rows do not have any Top or Bottom padding (0px), only 5px for left and right padding.

    Hi,

    Yes you need to reduce your padding of the textbox.

    You can go to view->layout.

    You have to right click on your textbox and go to text box properties or you can see the properties on the right after you select your textbox. You can reduce padding from top and bottom according to your requirement. You can see the screenshot below.

    Hope you have removed the padding from the property window that appears at right side when you select the text box.
