Crews able to be booked - even though they are already booked

Hi

My company is trialing Field Services and I have set up a our demo data, so far so good.

One problem users have encountered so far is as follows:

A Crew resource comprising three children (Crew A) is scheduled for a work order.  When a user attempts to schedule another work order using the schedule board (using the Schedule Assistant), Crew A is apparently available for scheduling despite being already booked onto another work order at the same time.

Seems like I have set up something wrong with respect to scheduling behaviour of the Crew as this does not occur with individual resources - any clues/thoughts/hints/ideas to what I have done wrong?
