Hello Guys, I am creating a List page for my customized from. I am following this blog (Link). I can see at the very first step we have to create a interaction class
In the AOT, right-click the Classes node, and then click New Class. The Classes node expands and displays a new class.
Does it related to any security permission or Admin account ?.
Also suggest if there is any other step by step blog to create list page
Please advise.
Hello Andre,
This link is very helpful to get a clear picture of D365 F&O list pages.
Thanks a lot
Hi Sachin,
I think the question has been answered by Gunjan and Nikolaos. In addition, there is documentation available on designing forms in Dynamics 365. You can start on the next page for some information about list page patterns: docs.microsoft.com/.../list-page-form-pattern
Hello Nikolaos,
Thanks to you and Gunjan for such a fruitful advise , I will follow the existing Listpages forms patterns.
You can't create new objects in AOT, instead you must create a new project. In the project you can right click the project and create new classes, forms etc.
When creating a project, you must know which package/model you want to develop in. And if you don't yet have a package/model (please speak with your dev team!) you need to create one.
In D365FO you don't need to create any ListPage interaction classes. That was only needed in AX2012. If you want a form that has a "listpage" look, you create a form and use a suitable form pattern such as "Details transaction". You can first browse around in the system, and check if there's some form that you would like to use as an example. Then look in AOT what pattern it uses.
The process is pretty much the same. Only how you create the objects is different. Best would be to check any of the existing list pages and check their design and related objects created.
Hello Gunjan , yes you are right This is for AX 2012 and i have D365 F&O. can you suggest any blog to Create a List Page Form specifically for D365 F&O?
The link you are following refers to AX 2012 and not D365 F&O.
You have to create a new project in Visual studio and add new items from the project node in the solution explorer. You will get items for D365 F&O here. I believe you have already created objects this way previously.
