Delete a Released Batch

I was training someone and I had them enter a journal entry and release it thinking I could go back and delete it. However, when I go into initialize mode then into the entry, the delete button is grayed out. I'm assuming there is a setting somewhere I need to change to allow me to delete a released batch but I cannot find it. Please help. Thanks

You can delete a batch that has been released but not posted to the GL. Once it is posted, Initialize Mode will not let you delete it, as it would cause data integrity issues between the underlying GL transactions and the Account History (summary) tables.
