Value cannot be null or empty. Parameter: _designNodeName error

I get a "Value cannot be null or empty. Parameter: _designNodeName" error when I try to run a report in AX 2012 and I don't know how to go about resolving it.

Assuming that you are creating a menu item of ObjectType SSRSReport, you have chosen an Object from the list of SSRS Reports, but have forgotten to assign the ReportDesign property.

Just start compile for classes..it may solve your issue for reports..

i have done same.

We have AX 2012 R2 CU7. This is issue happen to all the report in AX. This way works for us.

1. Full Compile

2. Restart AOS

3. Clear cache in AOT

4. Restart reporting service
