Adding the Item Name To On-Hand Inventory Report

Dear Sir 

I Would Like to add Item Name to the On-Hand Inventory  Report that is present in AX 2012 in the model  Inventory Management  under Reports  - > on-hand -> On-Hand Inventory

I have add  ItemName to the table InventOhhandtmp I Move ItemName from Extended Data Type to the InventOnhandtmp

and I recompile the classes InventOnhandDP

But when I open the  On-Hand Inventory Report in Visual Studio 2013 I could not fined the ItemName inside InventOnhandDSTable

        Just refresh the data set again it will show.

    Hi,

       If you open the visual studio before adding the field, that field/fields wont show in the dataset. So you need to refresh the data set manually.

    Or

      If you open after adding the field/fields in the Tmp table, automatically the fields will show in dataset, specially you no need to refresh the dataset again.

    Thank you very much for your replay

    I exit the visual studio, and Executed it again From AOT Visual Sudio Project than  Dynamics AX Model Project and I select InventOnhandReport by clicking right click on the InventOnhandReport and select Edit ,  but that field  won't show in the dataset, then I tried to refresh the data set manually  and the dataset Nam is InventOnhandDs, but that field  won't show in the dataset, so to do show ItemName in the dataset Nam is InventOnhandDs

       How many datasets you have in that report? if you have more than one, please check it added in next dataset!

    I have Select the InventOnhandDS DataSets  then I Selected Edit  then clicked Next and I All Fields was selected ,but ItemName was not present in the list ,why is not showing also here

    Hi Jamil,

       As per your screen shots Item name should show in the dataset, try rebuild your solution and refresh again your dataset.

    Thank you very much for your help,  It works in my live Server ,because I have two Servers

    And I  was trying in the Test Server it was not showing the ItemName field but when I try the same Procedure in the live Server  as you told me it show the field and I move it to  the report design, but  when I run the report unfortunately it does not show the field data just it show the  label of the field as Product name  but it does not show content of the ItemName, as I told you at the beginning I have added the  ItemName to the table InventOhhandtmp by Moving the ItemName from Extended Data Type to the InventOnhandtmp  is this procedure what I did was it  right by moving the  the ItemName from Extended Data Type to the InventOnhandtmp.

     Have you written code for item name in your data provider class? i mean your inserting item name?
