Bypass validation on ledger posting

Hello
I have a custom form for ledger posting which is made up of fields that take account numbers and the values for posting to General ledger which works fine and these are obviously created by using the standard posting classes like Ledger..... There is a requirement to post zero and negative values which gives error on validation checks done somewhere deeper in the standard ledger classes and wondering if there is a way to bypass this and allow the zero/negative value posting.
I am using the Ledgerjournalcheckpost class to perform the posting
The error is like "Value cannot be zero......." and I know what class and method is giving the error but not sure how to bypass it since it is out of the box objects.

Thanks

    Hi,
What business scenario required 0 and -ve posting instead of reversals?
Supported approach is to post through a journal type that allows -ve value.

    Thank you

    Hi @SKO,

In D365 F&SCM, standard GL validation does not allow zero-amount postings. While negative amounts are permitted, the ledger expects values to be stored as positive amounts, with the debit or credit indicator determining the sign.

Rather than bypassing out-of-the-box validation in LedgerJournalCheckPost, the custom logic should filter out zero values and convert negative amounts to positive amounts by reversing the debit/credit side. This approach is fully supported, audit-compliant, and aligned with standard accounting practices and D365 ledger design principles.
