Dear All,
While trying to print a report Printer name is not showing in list. When restart server printer name comes again.what is the issue???

Note that Dynamics AX is not managing the printers. That is done by the operating system. Once the printer is not available, check if it are also not available in other programs. Then you would notice it isn't only Dynamics AX. Probably you can visit the website of the printer brand, search the internet or another forum as well.
but in other programs printer is shown. when we try to attach doc Drive and printer both missing.
Is AX running in a terminal server or Citrix and other programs not?
I am also experiencing this issue. The printer shows up in Windows, and from other programs, but not available from the drop down menu in AX printer setup. I am using RDS, and this is only happening to ONE user. Several other users are printing away with no problems.
I had the same issue, but was finally able to resolve it by doing the following:
Make the printer default in Windows for the effected user.
Delete the printer
Re-add the printer again, and it should become default again
Then it became visiable again in AX.
