How to stop agreement sub status changing when we change the system status?

Hi,

I have scenario in which we want to stop the field of agreement sub statuses to change when we change the system status field. Currently, if I change the system status from Active to Expired, the value in the sub status which is for example set to renewal gets automatically update to the value with respect to system status or sometimes lost its value. How can we stop this or remove the link in between them?

Any help or suggestion would be highly appreciable.

Thanks,

Waleed.

    Hi Waleed,

Unfortunately, you can’t stop agreement sub status changing when we change the system status, which is by design.

The sub status field value is from the Agreement Substatuses entity.

From above screenshot, you can see every sub status record must be select one System Status, so when you change system status, the original sub status must be changed because that it doesn’t belong current system status.

As you mentioned, “sometimes lost its value”, It exists for two reasons.

1.the system status have no sub status, ‘Canceled’ not be selected in above screenshot.

2.It has many sub status, like ‘Expired’.

If you want to avoid that, you can select one sub status of ‘Expired’ and change default Substatus field value to ‘Yes’.

Then in Agreement form, when you change system status to ‘Expired’, it will not lose value.
