Linking Multiple MO's to a single line item

Is there a setting or a way to allow more than 1 Mfg Order to be linked to a sales line item. We maintain stock levels and if there is an existing MO for lets say a qty of 5 and then an order is entered for a qty of 10, we want to be able to link the 5 to the line item and then create another MO and link the balance. It doesn't appear to be possible for MO's however we are able to do this with PO's linked to sales line items. I find it strange that it is not possible in the Mfg module.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

What you are seeing is accurate. Currently, it’s possible to link one MO to a sales line item. If you want to link multiple MOs to the same item on the same Sales Order, you’d need to have more than one line on that sales order. In the example you have above, you’d need to have two lines for that item, each with a quantity of 5 to accomplish what you’re looking to do.

I think this would be a great product suggestion!
