Exporting Table 81 with Dimensions to Excel

Posted on by 100

Hi Experts,

Sorry to take you back on the above. As mentioned earlier, I was able to activate the dimensions in the config package but since the server did not have Microsoft office I could not test it. Now when I export and save it and open on a computer that has excel, the dimensions are not showing in excel even though they are showing in the configuration package. Tried several times but same result.

What am I not clicking.

Thanks

    Hi Richard,

there is a field called "Dimensions as columns" in table 8613 "Config. Package Table".

Unfortunately this field is not shown in the subform of the "Config Package Card". If you add this field in page 5625 and set it to yes, you see all the dimensions in page "Config Package Fields" and can select, which one you want to export

    Best regards

    Rainer

    Hi Richard,

Even you activate the Dimensions, Config Package just exports blank Dimension columns (without Dimension data) that why Microsoft calls it Template.

If you want to export Data including Dimensions and no need Microsoft Office on NAV Server, you can use our Universal Excel Import Export tool. Please take a look at our below YouTube video, at around 0:55 to 2:15

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtVZMvJkI5Y&list=PLfgzNr8_2Gkoo3v_rUrxM9-3rnCrfjPvA&index=3

And can try the tool at our NAV Demo system:

    - After login, search for "Standard Text Codes" page.

    - Click on "S-05 Universal Excel Import Export" action.

    - Follow the video.

    Enjoy!

check if the dimension fields (24, 25) are included in the package field list (bool field "include field").

also check if the fields have values.
