Hi,

I would like to seek help regarding DIXF in AX 2012 so I created customized SalesOrder combining Header and Lines and it was successful. however if I have multiple lines (for example 1 header and 5 lines, 2nd header has 3 lines) but when I import it in the entity ( I set the SalesId to Auto so it wil generate SalesId) it gets all the lines have their own salesid instead I want it to group it( I created a reference field to distinguish if it is 1 then it will get the salesid of the first record to apply in all 5 line records) and so on. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

Ivan

    Hi Andre,

I was able to fix it on my own. I was able to import SalesOrder  for header and multiple lines in one file. Thank you.

    Hi Andre,

Yes, There is an identification which is the Reference field(Custom field I added in the entity) so that it can have groupings when salesId is about to create.

The sales Id is a Primary index and in my entity I set it as not mandatory and I need to know where and when I can insert the X++ coding when I click the inserting to staging then only the creation of salesID will be triggered. Is this method possible?

    Hi Ivan,

You will need separate entities or a manual number in the source file. The auto-number sequence will draw a new number per source record.

If there is any identification in your source file when to create a new order, you can also use some x++ coding on the data entity instead of the auto number option.
