How to deal with the changes(BOM/MO/Picking list)

I'm facing a problem that is how to reflect the changes of BOM in the MO/picking list.

If we update the BOM, we need reset the MO status and have to post the item again in picking list, because the MO/picking list don't be updated automatically when we started the MO, although the BOM had been changed. I hoping I don't restart everything in the MO/picking list due to resetting status when the BOM is updated. Do you have some suggestions?

Thanks,

Jone

Add them directly to the ProdBOM or to the picking list lines. The BOM reference and details are captured at creation, so changes after this need to be reflected manually, or you recreate the order.

It seems no good method. As you know, sometime we have the complex BOM, and once we change it, it is hard to reflect just by adjusting ProdBOM or the picking list manually, but it's also inconvenient to recreate the order and repost.

Well you have a complex BOM that you have changed mid-production. I would suggest you have issues that are not system related :-) All you are doing is reflecting the change in the system to pick the stock and cost correctly. You need stability in design - there will be elements and components you simply should not change and perhaps you should analyse the reason for changes after you have started - look at the cause of your problem or put up with the work involved in the solution - you have no real other choice except to write a customization that at the press of a button does everything you would have to do manually within a given rule set!

    Yes, thanks your explanation.
