yes changes are being tracked by layers , generally USR layer are being used for customization but you can also refer CUS and VAR layers too

refer layer section from below link to get more idea

If you are planning a D365FO upgrade (you don't mention it but you are talking about "proceeding further") you can use the code upgrade tool in Lifecycle Services to produce a report that lists all customized objects.

    Thanks Kunal,

So, after run each and every layer it will create a separate project based on Layer right? which includes entire AOT changes...

So, based on that we can track in which object modify has been done...

    Is it correct?

Please give me more shed on this.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Nikoloas,

As of now we are not planning for upgrade in D365FO. We just wants to see how much customization has been done.

Shall i go with Kunal suggesstion?

Please give me more shed on this.

You can still use the code upgrade tool to get a report that lists your customized objects. But you can also go with Kunal's suggestion and create projects for each customized layer in AX.

yes you are correct, you can also include all layers (CUS, VAR and USR) in one single project by separating with  ' , ' (comma) in the value

also if you have access to LCS , you can see the report as Nikolaos suggested

If possible , kindly share me the link where i am geeting those steps...

Please give me more shed on this.

    Thanks!

As far as I know the code upgrade service works with any AX2012 version. You upload your whole modelstore there and get results from that. This tool is available in D365FO LCS projects.

Additionally, Kunal mentioned the customization analysis service. That's one more service that you can use to analyze customizations in a single AX2012 model. This tool is available in AX2012 LCS projects.
