Migration from NAV 2009 R2 --> NAV 2015

Hi

I am trying to migrate the following tables from nav 2009 R2 --> Nav 2015

-Customer

-Vendor

-Items

-G/L accounts (Chart of accounts)

It looks like this is way easier from 2013 -->2015 via rapidstart, but how is the way to do this proberly from 2009R2 --> 2015?

I assume that I should export the data from NAV to excel, but how do I export data directly from tables to excel? I can easily export data from pages to excel, but not all information of the tables is contained in the pages.

if I do export from pages (with lack of data) I cannot import to my config package in NAV 2015 and get the error message: "Excel does not contain XML mappings"

Any help in appreciated!

    Hi

    You can directly Copy the data from tables in NAV 2009 and Paste it to Excel, and also you can create data ports to export the data to excel the fields you needed, and you can import this data from Excel to NAV 2015 using Rapid start services

    Thanks for the answer. I will try that.

    How can I copy the table column to excel? I cannot mark them in the table

    also the Customer table in nav 2015 contains 78 fields. Does my export from Customer in nav 2009 R2 also need to have exactly the same 78 fields?

    Hi

    You can select whatever fields you needed to copy in 2009 using Show / Hide Column, refer below. you have to right click on the captions.

    I created a test item in nav 2015 and exported it to excel from confiq package. Then used that excel doc as a template for the nav 2009 R2 data. Works fine.

    Thanks!
