We released an update for the Dynamics 365 Remote Assist solution on May 26, 2022.
This release resolved an error when installing Remote Assist solution 1.0.0.351 on Microsoft Dataverse Platform Service Update 22051.00136 for Dataverse 9.2.0 and later.
Error message: "Microsoft.Dynamics.RemoteAssist.Plugins' is not allowed to be registered in full-trust mode, assembly must be registered in isolation "
Version 1.0.0.371 includes all content found in 1.0.0.351, including security fixes to libraries that support the solution. In addition, solution version 1.0.0.371 supports upcoming infrastructure changes to the analytics platform. We will be doing this infrastructure maintenance on June 15, 2022.
Does this affect me?
Dynamics 365 Remote Assist does not require the Remote Assist solution or model-driven app to empower technicians to collaborate efficiently from different locations on HoloLens, Android, or iOS devices.
If your organization uses any of the following features, however, you will be affected by this update:
- Use the HoloLens or mobile app to capture and view asset data
- Create and share one-time call links
- Monitor operational metrics through the Calls dashboard
How does this affect me?
After the infrastructure maintenance on June 15, 2022, existing Dynamics 365 Remote Assist Calls dashboards will no longer function with solution versions older than 1.0.0.371, and you will be unable to provision new Calls dashboards.
You can successfully install solution 1.0.0.371 in environments with Microsoft Dataverse Platform Service Update 22051.00136 for Dataverse 9.2.0 or later.
What action do I need to take?
Please upgrade to solution version 1.0.0.371 before June 15, 2022 to avoid service impact. For instructions on how to upgrade your solution, please review the following documentation.
