Hi I am completely new here and need some help with MRP

I want to setup an MRP to create Purch requisition. What I am looking for is a setup to

1. look 1 yr in the future

2. create the Purch requisition when Stock goes under the safety stock defined (eg. we have a sales order to be delivered in 2 month, the item has a lead time of 6 weeks so the PO should be created the lead time (plus a safety) before it is needed.

Hi MVT75,

The Master planning is not able to create purchase requisitions. It can create planned purchase orders and planned production order.

Hi Yes sorry thats what I ment. I misstype while had a phone call during my post about purch requisition. My fault. For sure planned purchase orders.

But the problem stays the same ;-)

YES, MRP will only generate planned purchase order and planned production order according to the item set up.

Setup a coverage group with Coverage Code Requirement and Coverage time fence 365 Days (Demand for the future year). You can also add a min qty for safety stock and the purchase lead time on the Item master Plan tab - Item Coverage. MRP will create a plan order is you go below safety stock levels with the requirement date Today + Lead time.
