Advanced WMS versus basic WMS

Does anyone know if it is possible to execute intercompany flows with using an "advanced WMS" item in the first company and a "basic WMS" item in the second? Is it working ?

quite possible as it all depends on the warehouse setup.

In one company the warehouse could be enabled for adv. warehouse and in the other company it may not.

Hi Lionel VRAC,

Yes you can work with advance and non advance warehouse on inter company orders.

You can ship from advance warehouse in shipping company and receive items on non advance warehouse using traditional receiving. and vice versa is also true.

Only thing to keep in mind is you cannot select an advance warehouse on original sales order in cases of direct delivery as posting on this order will be automated. It must be non advance warehouse in the selling company but you can use advance warehouse on the inter company sales order in the shipping company.

Apart from the above scenario all combinations work.

Hi Lionel,

Yes this configuration is possible. it's used for example when you have an intercompany between one LE doing production managing WMS and an other small one using POS. By the way, you can also have different tracking dimensions between them. only batch tracking on the production LE.
