RE: Sending data from AX 2012 R3 to Third Party Applications

As an alternative to using the Application Integration Framework and making your way through the necessary documentation, you can choose to get a connector that emulates a SQL database connection (that is, it will make you access AX 2012 as if you were accessing a database via ODBC or Web services).

I think that will reduce the time needed for implementation significantly in a cost-effective way www.connecting-software.com/.../

    Hi Sona Jee,

You can use Application Integration Framework  to expose Sales Order via web service, please refer documentation for details docs.microsoft.com/.../services-and-application-integration-framework-aif

    Hi Martin

Actually through web service we are planning to go ahead, I mean we need to give AX web service to that

third party tool devlopers , they want to consume web service of AX.

We need for Sales Order alone.

Please suggest the best approach for this

    Thanks

It depends especially on which kind of programming interface the third party applications offer and where they're located (installed in the same network, elsewhere connected through internet, no direct visibility...).

Common approaches include web services, .NET SDKs, exchanging files, going through BizTalk orchestration and so on.
