Value Model doesn't exist for fixed asset xxxx

Hi,

I have that error message when trying to post the invoice of my fixed asset.

I already read different posted and, the posting profile, the value model (on the Posting layer = Operations) have been set up  as you can see on the pictures below.

Any idea where else I have to look at?

    Hi,

Your fixed asset has only the LINIFRS value model attached.

Do you make use of the derived value model functionality?

If so, can you check whether your LIN and LINIFRS value models are linked?

Assuming that they are linked, please try to add the LIN value model to your fixed asset and post again.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi,

    Unfortunately,

I didn’t t use any value model functionality. It works well when I use a fixed asset having a value model LIN (posting layer = current). The setting of my LINIFR is exactly the same as LIN except the posting layer.

I want my fixed asset to be posted only on Operations layer; that is the reason why I only linked the LINIFRS value model.

    Hi mtk,

Please do me a favor and check & ideally share the following information:

    1. For which posting layer is the journal that you used above setup? Is it linked to the operations layer?

    2. If you select the fixed asset tab in your journal, what can you see there?

    3. If you open the derived value models and derived value books sections in your value model, what can you see for the LINIFRS and the LIN value model?

    4. Does your LIN value model also post to the operations layer?

We be great if you could share this information so that we can get this fixed together.

    Many thanks and regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi,

    Below the answers:

1- The posting layer of the journal is: current ( I use the Account payable invoice journal to acquire my fixed asset)

    2- and 3: (see pictures)

4- The LIN model pots to the current layer.

    Hi,

Can you please navigate into the fixed asset tab and check if something is shown there?

If you can identify a value model there, then please ask a developer for some help.

Some adjustments that have been made to your journal (DAS tab) might be responsible for your outcome.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Indeed, it was empty.

What is strange is that my listbox is completely empty although my fixed asset posting profile has been setup for acquisition..

    Hi,

If you enter the value model, can you post the journal?

  • Community Member Profile Picture

I cannot because the listbox is empty

although I linked my asset to the value model

    Hi mtk,

Please get a developer involved here. Something does not seem normal and because you have adjustments in the form, a developer might have to look at this anyway.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    OK, I will do that.

Thanks a lot for your help.
