How to enter time on behalf of other resources?

Hello All,

I am trying to setup a couple of CRM users to be able to enter time on behalf of other resouces. From my knowledge, we need to setup delegates in other for someone to enter time on behalf of someone else. But delegates dont seem to be available anywhere on the navigation of Project Service app and even if i try to create a record explicitly from advance find, the form is getting closed automatically. Does anyone know if delegates are required for entering time on behalf of someone. Or what is the recommended method to enter time on behalf of other resources?

At the moment i am planning to implement this by creating a new quick create form and exposing the resrouce field on the Quick create form of time entry and assign a security role so that only people who have the required security role will be able to see that form.

Any suggestions or insights would be very helpful.

I don't think than can be built without JavaScript. The default view in the project lookup searches for projects where the current user is on a project team. Your ask is for the view to look for projects where a project team member equals value of the Bookable Resource lookup. I don't think FetchXML can do this either so I'd ask a dev if we can do this with JS.

If you use the Bookable Resource field on the quick create form, how do you show all the Projects and Project Tasks related to that resource on the Time Entry quick create?

Go to delegate in Advanced find and add an entry, still currently working but does state deprecated V 4.

Power Automate flow can be used to submit / Approve timesheet entry.

Hi Suresh_Satti. Delegated time entries aren't yet in ProjOps (Lite and integrated deployments) so we have to do the same as we did in PSA V3: Use the Bookable Resource column on the time entry form/quick create form.
