Hi All

Is there a way to publish multiple products at once?

I can only find ways to publish one at a time from draft to active status.

If you multi select in a list, the publish option goes away.

Thanks

Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

The simplest solution is to publish products through an on-demand workflow, so that you can batch run workflow on multiple products to publish them.

Go to Settings > Processes, new a workflow of Product.

Then set the workflow as follow.

Check "As an on-demand process", select Scope to "Organization".

The step is "Change Status", change Product to Active.

    Activate the workflow.

This way, in the product view, select multiple records and select Flows > the workflow.

    Hello,

If you create products by using a product family and tie the products to it that way (populate the parent field on teh product with the product family), you can publish all products related to that product family by clicking publish - publish hierarchy. This is a good way to do things, because you can now also use forecasting for products, but in order to use this, products must be tied to a product family.

    thanks Dian

Hadn't thought of the family bit, but that will also be useful across different product categories that we normally use anyway.

If you are using Dynamics Sales Professional you can do this by going to the Sales Hub App > Products and Export to excel (Perhaps create a view that contains Name, ProductId and Status only), open up the exported file and change all the Products that you want to publish to Status "Active". Save that and then in the Sales Hub App click import to excel. This should set the status of those products to Active for you.

This thread is now 2 years old I understand but if you are or someone else is still facing this issue. Good News you can use Excel online to just flip the status from Draft to Active using the dropdown for one cell and replicate that for all cells with one click (Excel - MAgic). Once that is done just save the excel online which will automatically start importing the new status against all the draft product records.

    Hope this helps. Cheers.
