Hi I need a bit of help understanding.
We have 2 env. a Prod and a Test, once every 4 weeks we copy the Prod to the Test and re-install MA.
In both of our env. we can see that our Marketing Contacts usage looks a bit weird.
In test we have this ( I know we are over, that is what we are trying to fix)
And our Prod:
See the "Other orgs in your tenant", these looks to be the Test contacts when in Prod and vice versa when in Test.
It looks to us like our Contacts are being counted double, one for each env.
But shouldn't they only be counted once, the contacts are the same in both env. so we should only see the number from the Prod env.
Or have I understood it wrong?
Kind Regards Jesper
We are coping the all data from the Prod env. but not activating anything in the Test env.
Have created a ticket.
Given the usage pattern you are executing I recommend opening a support ticket so we can take a look at your environments and the data to see what's happening. The quota is at the tenant level and each environment has its own database which is contributing so if you have 20K active contacts in one environment and are copying them over to another environment and activating them (by emailing them) in the other environment you could be causing duplication.
We will have to look at the data in your environments to diagnose what is going on.
Yes, the amount ca. 20.000 is the correct number of MA contacts that we use, but why does it then count it twice?
Hi partner,
Counting only once seems to be only for that type of contact.
