Hi

Can anyone let me know if what min. system requirements are required for the ecommerce component for AX for Retail? I need to price up what's required. Do you also need Enterprise level or is Standard edition across the board of the platform (SQL, Sharepoint etc) acceptable?

Thanks

Wayne

I didn't know that they had actually got the integration with SharePoint 2013 working yet.  I know that it was advertised as being compatible back in October. Then, a few people tried to get it to work and couldn't get it working.

Right now, I'm working on a SharePoint 2013 consulting project and we are using 24GB's of RAM to run it.  But SharePoint 2013 has some superior enhancements with performance -- none bigger than the abilty to run workflows on their own server and office web components.

Can't tell you the minimum requirements yet because I haven't found anyone who actually got SharePoint 2013 working with the Dynamics AX component.  As of now, I am taking a completely different approach to integrate the functionality with my client by leveraging the power of LINQ and using the SharePoint 2013 programming API.

Good answer.  I haven't had a chance to play with the Ecommerce feature, but I better get started soon.  Having Developed in SharePoint 2013, this will be very interesting.  I can't wait to look under the hood and tinker with this.

Since there isn't much documentation on this feature, I'll need to play with it.  But I'm guessing that it could be easier to customize than the Enterprise Portal due to the way that they changed the SharePoint 2013 API with Apps.

Not an answer to your question though..
