Hello Shirley,
Thank you for the response, the 365 Guides do a great job as a standalone application. My aim was to be able to communicate with a local network device during one of the guide's steps.
The 365 Guides fulfil my requirements apart from being able to verify an action with another device.
The Scenario:
While using 365 Guides to create an assembly task, a verification step is required to check an action has been completed using an external input (e.g. TCP/IP).
The external input would be "OK", or "NOT OK". Navigation would then occur to the appropriate step in a similar way as the 'Question Steps' but without the operator input.
Example:
An operator is working through a 365 Guide
The guide asks the operator to press a physical button
The guide waits for the external input from the physical button
The guide receives a "OK" message, then goes to the appropriate step.
Example:
An operator is working through a 365 Guide
The guide tells the operator to load an item onto a set of "smart scales"
The smart scales check if the item's weight is within a tolerance
The guide receives a "OK" message, then goes to the appropriate step.
Thanks,
Luke
