Running RMS on mobile device

Hey Guys,

I work for an IT consulting firm and have come across something that is baffling me. My client wants to run Microsoft RMS on a mobile device that accepts payment and scans barcodes. Has anyone seen this done successfully? I was not aware that RMS had mobile capabilities.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    We use the following for our franchise chain in Canada.  www.newestech.com/mobile-pos-mobile-suite-pro-for-rms

    At this time we only use the Inventory module and Item manager but there is mobile cashier module for payments etc.

    I do not work for or represent the company... we just use their tools.

    I use RMS version 2.02 on a Surface Pro tablet and a USB 2D barcode scanner. Payment processing by credit/debit would have to be done using a wireless payment terminal and/or setting up a mobile hotspot (or having a VPN or similar setup so the tablet can connect to the main RMS database if the client wants the mobile device to sync to the main RMS database at the store/main office - I have a running shoe store that does this when they take a laptop running RMS to off site running events). I hope that makes sense!
