Thank you Gunjan,
We have added one record with EmployeeServices, and now we are getting the required page.
Thank you very much for your help.
Regards,
Akbar
Hi Akbar, I don't think you should change this is SharePoint.
You just need to enter the record in the EP > Websites table.
Hi Gunjan,
We have tried in : SharePoint central administration
Application management --> Web Applications -->Configure alternate access mapping -->
(Selected the required URL ) Edit Internal URLs,
but it is throwing the below error : The URL format was invalid

Akbar
Hi Akbar,
You can edit the site by just adding /EmployeeServices at the end of your current url.
Hi Akbar,
Let me look into this. I will try on my Dev box and will update you on what I find.
Hi Gunjan,
Tried to add ../EmployeeServices in the internal URL , it is throwing an error "Invalid URL",
How we can edit the the url , it should be something like this :
http://****.****.com.**/sites/DynamicsAx/EmployeeServices/
existing is http://****.****.com.**/
Regards,
Akbar
Hi Gunjan,
Thank you very much for quick response.
As per our understanding ,creating new site comes when we are setting up EP for the first time,
but in our case EP is already setup , users used to get Employee service as default page, no idea what had happened sudden Role centre is coming as default page. Which is working in lower environments except Production. Tried to compare Web menuitem EPPersonnelInformation , didn't find any difference between Production and Lower.
will go with editing the internal URL first in lower with different pages, if it worked will apply for Employee service in Production.
Thanks once again for your inputs.
Regards,
Akbar
Normally the web application is referred to while deploying changes. So, a change here won't affect anything.
I would, however, suggest you to create a new site here and use the same for Employee services. From time to time you might need to log into the original site as an admin to do AOD refreshes etc. This is how we have always implemented EP for our clients in the past.
Thank you Gunjan,
If we update the Internal URL, will it impact anything while deploying new changes, means if we deploy any changes will it saved in the existing directory/folder or in new or any other folders.
Regards,
Akbar
Hi Akbar,
It should have worked for Prod as well.
In this requirement, I think it will be the easiest to create a new URL or edit the existing URL to Employee services portal.
The Internal URL should be "SharePointServ/.../EmployeeServices".
