Expense report and Cash advance balance update issue

Hi

I have an issue with the Export report being adjusted with Cash Advance balances. Below scenarios can explain my query -

  1. Cash advance raised for 1000USD. Approved and Paid.
  2. Cash advance requested amount, paid amount and Balance is 1000USD.
  3. Expense report (expense report number - 0001) submitted for 800USD.
    1. Expense category selected with Payment method set up as expense owner as employee and Offset account type as worker.
  4. Expense report (expense report number - 0001) is approved and processed for payment.
  5. Cash advance updated as Requested and paid amount - 1000USD & Balance - 200USD.
  6. Expense report - 0002 submitted for 400USD.
    1. Expense category selected with Payment method set up as expense owner as employee and Offset account type as worker
  7. Expense report is approved and processed for payment.
  8. Now the issue or question arises here
    1. Cash advance remains with 200USD as Balance.
    2. Expense report - 0002 - Amount of 400USD is moved to settlement to be done against the vendor mapped to the employee.
    3. As it is clear the amount is more than the cash advance, why cant the system deduct 200 against the cash advance balance and remaining 200 be moved to settlements of the employee?

Hope am making sense on the question. can someone clarify me on this?

Thanks

Deepa
