Hi all,

I want to give some of my employees the rights/permissions to view the "Qty. on Purch. Order" and "Qty. on Sales Order" fields on the article cards, but I cannot figure out which table they are connected to. Could someone help me out with this?

Thanks in advance!

Lynn b

    Hi Lynn,

these two fields are linked to "Purchase Line" and "Sales Line" tables.

    Best regards

Thank you for your quick answer!

I tried adding those tables to their permission, but the fields don't show up on their article card, nor can I add them through changing the page. Is there anything else I can do to get them to see the fields?

I have a suggestion within standard NAV.

    1) Create a new permission set for this purpose. I copied BASIC and created BASIC APZ

    2) Go to "permissions" and modify object 5406 & 37. Remove the "Read" ability:

    3) When you look at the "Item" card, the "Flow Fields" are hidden:

Now apply the permission set to the users that should not be able to see the Sales & Purchase quantities.

It's a way to look at it without adding conditional coding to the page itself.

    Hi Alfredo,

Thank you for your answer. The issue is I DO want them to see the fields, but they don't see them at the moment. They do have read permissions for object 5406, 37 and 39. I cannot add the fields to their item table through adding columns, nor to their item card through changing the page. This is how they show up on my item card:

    What am I missing?

    Thank you in advance!

Ok you're missing permission sets! When you add the following / standard permission sets, the "Flow Fields" are visible:

I hope this is what you are looking for.

    Good Luck!

Remember to "refresh" the users sessions after applying the additional "Permission Sets"

That worked! I did end up copying the permission set and only giving them read permission on all of them, because I don't want them to be able to add any purchase or sales orders.

Thank you so much for your help!
