Hello Nav Community,

This is my first time working with NAV and I apologize if my question doesnt make any sence. I will do my best to explain myself and appreciate your help in advance.

The company where I work recently started using NAV 2013 R2 but we have some questions and sadly our supplier hasn't been able to answer them with the expertise they should have.

Below the information of my license:

If I understand correctly as NAV customers we are entitled to certan amount of objects (pages, reports, xml ports, etc) which in the license I can see that 100 is my limit as right now. Our supplier is doing some custom reports and there are using most of our reports.

My question is, shouldn't the Supplier have their own set of objects? I mean 100 objects to work with is not much but im just wondering if they are doing things right by using our reports. But the way, the supplier claim they are Microsoft Certified Partners but im not 100% sure because they don't appear in the Official Partner List.

Yes, you can buy more objects either it can be reports, tables... or codeunits. Ask you partner they should be able to order and request new license for you.

Thank you so much for your help and the time to answer my question. One more question on the same idea, can I purchase more reports? Here is the thing, our provider is doing all the legal reports (the ones we send to the local IRS, working goberment, etc) but we have several reports in our day to day that I need to develope myself. Im guess we might need at least another 100 or 200

I agree with Suresh and it depends upon what supplier agreed in the beginning like those custom reports will be part of standard and now he is using set of objects etc. then it is not acceptable but if the requirement is from your side then supplier will use your set of objects only.

No, the partner uses the 100 objects assigned to you, because if they started using other object range which is not assigned to you then ultimately you cannot use that object in your application because your license does not permit to run those objects.

For Every object i.e. tables, pages, xmlports or codeunits the license assigns a number range, so if anybody uses outside that number range you cannot run it and will endup getting permission error.
