SERVER: Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server Components ==> Fatal error during installation.

Dear colleagues,

Your help in this issue will highly be appreciated.

I was trying to install NAV 2016 with all its components on my server with resulted in a fatal error. I intend to run NAV 2013 (which is already installed) alongside NAV 2016. Could the problem be with the default port numbers?

Following is the installation log:

    Hi

Try by skipping the Web components during the installation of NAV 2016, once installed you can add the Web components.

Tried doing so and got the following error:

The SQL Server instance 'NAVDEMO' already has a database named 'Demo Database NAV (9-0)'. Specify a new database name or set the 'Replace Existing Database' option to 'Yes'

And then again, considering that I want to run NAV 2016 alongside NAV 2013 with I had already installed won't there be a conflict with the already defined port settings (Management Services Port 7045; Client Services Port 7046; SOAP Services Port 7047; OData Services Port 7048;)

    Hi

While installing set the Parameter "Replace Existing Database" to Yes, and you need to specify different ports.(incase Portsharing not enabled)

    Okay.

Thanks a lot. Let me try that.

Try to install version without web components and then you can install the Web client as this error occurs may be because of required prerequisites not installed
