    Hi Denis

    yes it helps. I would like to ask you some questions:

    1.what skills are necessary to work with this tool?

    2.for people that have no experience in sql or programming (like me) do 4-5 days are enought to learn proficiently this software?

    3. How much time do i need (eventually) to be productive for the company?

    4. For what kind of roles this tool is indicated?

    I need to give proof that this is not a job for me ( business process analyst) but for other roles ( i.e IT guys that have sql.knowledge).

    Could you help me in this?

    Many thanks

    Luca

    Hi Luca

    1.what skills are necessary to work with this tool?

    Denis : The Report in AX 2012 are build in Sql Server Reporting Services. So you must have skill on SSRS but especially  on Dynamics AX because the Business Logic is made in AX.

    2.for people that have no experience in sql or programming (like me) do 4-5 days are enought to learn proficiently this software?

    Denis : About SSRS 4-5 days are enough. About Dynamics AX no... because you have to learn the Data Model and especially  X++

    3. How much time do i need (eventually) to be productive for the company?

    Denis : About SSRS based on a Query, I think is enough one week. For complex report, so based on a Data Provider class, I think is necessary at least 1 month.

    4. For what kind of roles this tool is indicated?

    Denis : Developers on X++

    Additionally, have a look also at www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx (Business Intelligence Capabilities and Tools )

    Business Intelligence is another way to analyze data using for e.g. the Cubes.

    Hi Steve/ Denis,

    i have found what are the real problems;

    - money: to create reports such as invoices, PO, etcetera very expensive

    - to share reports on share point.

    So i disturb you again:

    - is there another feasible solution that can solve the costs to create reports ( (invoices PO)

    - is there another solution ( for financial reporting statistics etcetera) that can be easily link with sharepoint?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Luca
