AX retail synch service fails on multiple store rollout

Hi,

We now have AX 2012 R2 retail/POS running in about 50 stores but we're experiencing problems with the synch service meaning P-0001 jobs are are often failing.

The specific issue seems to be where one or two stores go offline or synch service fails then the P job also fails to pull through for all the subsequent stores in the sequence for the job. So if store 40 out of 50 fails for example then no transactions are pulled for the last 10 stores. Has anyone else experienced this and can offer any advice to rectify? We can accept one or two stores failing to update sometimes but it's not good for jobs to fail on-bulk.

Note we have all our stores grouped together under one distribution location list, so on the distribution schedule screen the job shows as running to one location called 'All stores' rather than to a list of 50 separate locations. Could that make any difference?

Thanks.

    Hi,

Even  i face the same issue. Our customer has almost  17 stores geographically located across the globe. Out of 17 stores if 8 stores Database server is down then the subsequent Pjobs fails with the error message Waiting for the package xxxxx (related to the store that failed/is down).

But if the package that has failed is cancelled and/or removed from the incoming and outgoing message table then the subsequent job successfully executes and store transaction get synched with HQ.

If all the 50 store share the same Sync service then if one packet fails then all the remaining packet get stuck. When you configure a single Sync service for all the stores, it works as a single pipeline, so if any store packet stuck then the remaining packets fails to proceed. We cam across the same situation, so we distributed the number of stores on different sync service. So you can configure 5 Sync service having 10 stores each
