I am trying to personalize the From Address for a marketing email. I want it to be the Contact's Owner's Email. I cannot find this field in the option list. I have a few ideas on why this would be:
1. Is it because this is a lookup field?
2. Is it because this field is not displayed on the Contact form (only Owner Name is)? So if I add it, it will appear?
3. Is it because it is part of the Owner/User entity which cannot be accessed from the Relationship option list?
Appreciate your help!
Thank-you, Karl - this resolved the issue! I assumed (which was wrong) that the User entity was already sync'd because it was referenced in the documentation. I assumed it was sync'd as part of the install of the Marketing app. It was NOT. The fields and entity became available once we sync'd it.
You should be able to do this, but it could be that you haven't yet synced the required entity to make it available for use in email dynamic content:
Once that entity has synced (allow about half an hour), you should be able to choose the required relation. However, I can see the relation display name has changed slightly since that documentation was written. It is now "Owning User (Contact) -> User" rather than "Owning User systemuser (Contact) -> User". The following should work to create the required expression:

Hi Stephani,
Lookup fields aren't supported for dynamic content at this time. I suggest putting in a feature request on the Marketing Ideas portal as community upvoting influences our roadmap. I know that this is in the backlog but community support will help get it prioritized.
Thanks,
Megan

I tried the steps in this article and do NOT see the related entity it references.

Delete the contents of the From address field and then select the Assist-edit button next to this field.
On the first page of the assist-edit dialog, select Contextual and set it to Contact. Then select Next.
On the second page of the assist-edit dialog, select Related entity and then:
Set the top drop-down list (relationship) to Owning User systemuser (Contact) -> User.
Set the bottom drop-down list (field) to Primary email.
Select OK to place the expression, which should be: {{contact.contact_systemuser_owninguser.internalemailaddress}}.
