Can't Show Related Segments in a Subgrid

Hi all,

Been trying to set up a Related Subgrid showing Segments that a Contact is associated with, but for whatever reason Segments don't show up in the Related Records list.

Marketing Lists, on the other hand, work perfectly fine. We'd prefer to be able to use Segments if we can, but we at least have Marketing Lists to fall back on.

Anyone else had any trouble trying to set up a Subgrid for Related Segments?

Marketing Lists:                                                                                   Segments:

Any and all help would be appreciated.

    Hi Simon,

There is N:N relationship between Contact and Marketing List, while the relationship doesn't exist between Contact and Segment, so segments is not supported to be added as subgrid of contact.

Contacts are added to segment with special mechanism, unlike general entity relationship, it can be said that there is no explicit connection between them.

In a word, segment is a dedicated entity of Dynamics 365 for Marketing application, it is list that we are marketing to, you could refer to table of following article to understand differences between Segment and Marketing List.

    Hi,

I have the same requirement and found that if I specify the segment in the linked query, I receive results. I am not sure if they match 100% the segment members because I did not test.

However, this is a very logical thing from users to ask. The segments list is not even available in the Insights tab on the Contact and it should be.

    Best,
