Hello,
When I send a test email to verify the functionality, the data is recorded in the insights. It is nice to have this feature, however, is there a way to limit data points (other than date) to exclude test emails? I would like to report the actual emails exclusive of the test ones?
Thanks!
Thanks Clofly. This works!!!
Hi lokeshpatel,
Do you mean that lookup view of customer journey gets stuck in loading status in marketing email insights tab?
If so, I also encountered such issue, as workaround,
you could open a customer journey record which has added marketing email that you want to check,
then select the email tile and click View details link,
it will also open a insights dialog for selected marketing email, then you can set a different customer journey as filter.
(When no customer journey is selected, then all statistics will keep same with insights data in marketing email form)
Not sure why filter not works in marketing email form but it's available in customer journey dialog,
please wait for several days to check whether the issue could be solved automatically.
Regards,
Clofly
Thanks! I tried that however it did not load any customer journeys. Is there a specific setting that allows this to pass through?
Hi Lokesh,
You can filter the test emails out using the Customer Journey field in the Email Insights page (screenshot below); Test send emails do not belong to any journey and they will not be counted this way.
Hope this helps

Hi lokeshpatel,
Do you mean feature below?
In my opinoin, there are two ways to build you report which excludes test email:
1. I havn't Power BI to test, but you should have ability to filter out unwanted data as what we do in advanced find.
You could add query such as "record which its email contains specific mailbox"(because generally we send test email to our own mailbox )
or "fullname field doesn't contain data" to filter out test email data.(all test data don't have actual contact's fullname)
2. In environment which enabled 2020 wave 1 early access, we can export insights data as csv file to local machine,
then we can remove rows which has specific mailbox manually in Excel to build report.
In a word, it seems that we couldn't delete insights data by ourselves at present,
so filtering out data by some conditions would be the solution.

Clofly
