Dynamics Web client configuration

Posted on by 100

Dear All,

I have done the configuration of the dynamics webclient and have tested it on the server and it works. However, I been trying to connect the dynamics via the webclient on a difference computer and it is not going through. I have used the following url: http://servername:8080/DynamicsNAV90/webclient

http://i.p address:8080/DynamicsNAV90/webclient.

What am I missing. Your feedback will be appreciated.

    Hi Manish,

The web client works on other computers if I establish the connection through LAN but it doesn't work if I am trying connecting through wifi.

Can you clarify if there are any exceptions?

You need to go to IIS and then change the binding for the web client.

What about not using port 8080. Try leaving the port number off of the address. Another option would be to use a different port number.

    Hi Amol,

I have been able to add port 8080 as a new role but when I scan the port it is still in the stealth state.

    Any other ideas.

Really wish we can resolve this today.  On standby.

Go to Windows Firewall and add the rule for port 8080

    Check following link

    Hi Amol

I have been able to add IP to the server, however, did a port scan using grc scan and realised that 8080 is in a stealth state meaning it is blocked.

Is there a way to unblock the port 8080?

Secondly, I have been trying to attach screen print to my post but finds it difficult as i get error feedback.

    Is a way to assist.

Really appreciate your support. On standby

    open the following file: c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts.

Add the IP of your server

    Save the changes.
