Is it possible for Finance Reporter (MR) to extract the Reporting Currency of a posted budget?

I have a scenario where a budget transaction is EUR, the accounting currency is DKK. and reporting currency also EUR.

On posting, the transaction currency (EUR) and accounting currency (DKK) is correct, but the reporting currency (EUR) is recalculated based on the rate in the exchange rate table.

This does not occur with Actuals, as the actuals are posted with a Reporting currency value, and Finance reporter can easily show this information.

Hi James,

You can generate financial reports in different currencies...on Report definition we have option to select or define currency.

Also, on column definition we can define the currency ...

system will take exchange rate based on "option defined on main account form setup"

My main account setup is correct, but I'm not seeing the results on my report.

My FR column setup is showing EUR. Is that correct?

Is there a time difference when changing master data, to information seen in FR? I notice sometimes that when i change and exchange rate, i have to wait a few minutes before seeing the results in FR.

Hello James,

Your column definition should have "Reporting" instead of "EUR" so that FR will pull the data from Reporting Currency that is handled by D365.

It would probably be better if you open a support ticket and reference my name in the ticket.

Updating the Main Account and also Resetting the FR Data Mart, gave me a balanced report:

I am still not seeing the Reporting currency, but i believe that it is not stored in D365.

Hello James,

Yeah, the best thing would be to create a support ticket for this to be better looked.

The Reporting Currency is only stored in D365 and not in FR.

Hi James Solomon, what is the reporting currency set in the Ledger form? Is it also EUR?

Else, please update if this is fixed with Microsoft and what solution is applied!

I know this post is a year old, but I have a Client who is asking the same question if Reporting Currency is available for Budgets when she runs reports out of Financial Reporter. Is there a solution to see this?
